RM Slate PC

Just when you thought the classroom rival to Apple's iPad would be an Android device, along comes the RM Slate with Windows 7. Slim, light and tough, it's a learning pad that's also fully functioning computer. And unlike the iPad it's not locked down. It's cheaper too, at £399, and will be followed by a 'mini' version with 10-inch swivel screen at £350.
